A thread lift may be considered when suitable tissue needs to be mechanically redirected and an earlier lifting effect is desired. Endolift may be considered when laxity is accompanied by reduced subdermal support, jawline blurring or suitable small fat deposits.
A thread lift physically supports tissue along a planned upward or backward vector. Endolift does not pull tissue with threads; it aims to create controlled contraction and gradual collagen remodelling through laser energy.
One treatment may be sufficient for some patients. In selected cases, both may be planned at different times for different tissue objectives.
What Is Endolift?
Endolift is a minimally invasive laser procedure in which a very thin optical fibre is guided through pre-planned tissue layers beneath the skin.
The 1470 nm laser energy is used to create controlled thermal effects in tissue containing water and fat. The aim is to support connective-tissue contraction, collagen remodelling and more balanced contouring in selected areas.
In suitable patients, treatment may be planned for the jawline, jowls, double chin, lower face, neck and selected body areas. Although limited contouring of small localised fat deposits may be possible, Endolift is not liposuction.

What Is a Thread Lift?
A thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure in which medical threads are placed beneath the skin through planned entry points to support facial or neck tissue along a selected direction.
Threads may be smooth, twisted, coned or barbed. Threads intended for lifting commonly contain cones or barbs that engage tissue and provide mechanical support along the insertion pathway.
Absorbable threads may be manufactured from materials including PDO, PLLA and PCL. Thread material, thickness, number, insertion depth and lifting vector can all influence the result.
The main purpose of a thread lift is not to add volume or reduce fat. It is intended to support suitable tissue and create restrained improvement in facial contour.

When jawline blurring is related to early jowls, subdermal laxity and small localised fat deposits, Endolift primarily works through tissue contraction and contour support.
When jawline tissue has moved downward but remains suitable for mechanical support, a thread lift may reposition it upward and backward.
Jawline definition is not determined by laxity alone. A retruded chin, limited mandibular support, volume loss and double-chin fullness may also soften the jawline.

A retruded chin can also exaggerate the appearance of a double chin, so chin projection should be assessed separately.
Which Is More Suitable for the Neck?
Endolift may be considered when mild subdermal laxity and loss of contour are present across the chin-to-neck transition.
A thread lift may provide mechanical neck support when tissue thickness and a safe vector are appropriate. Planning must be cautious because of neck movement, thin skin and important anatomical structures.

Endolift or Thread Lift for Brow Lifting?
When the aim is to support the brow mechanically along a selected direction, a thread lift may offer a more direct approach.
Endolift does not pull the brow upward like a thread. In selected patients, it may be planned around the temple or brow area to support tissue quality and contraction.
Brow position is influenced by forehead muscle activity, eyelid skin excess, temporal volume loss and underlying bone structure.
When upper-eyelid skin excess is pronounced, surgical assessment may be required.
Which Produces a Faster Result?
Because a thread lift mechanically supports tissue, an early lifting change may be visible immediately after treatment.

The risk of palpable or visible threads may be higher in thin skin. Placement in an inappropriate tissue plane may increase the risk of irregularity.
Appropriate patient selection, thread type and anatomical placement can reduce this risk but cannot eliminate it completely.
Endolift does not leave threads beneath the skin. Temporary firmness, tenderness or fibrotic tissue sensation may still occur during healing.
Can a Thread Lift Distort the Face?
In an unsuitable patient, excessive tension or an inappropriate lifting vector may alter facial expression or create asymmetry around the brows, cheeks or mouth.
Pulling tissue outside its natural anatomical direction may create a stronger early change without producing a balanced aesthetic result.
