Endolift in Istanbul: Laser-Assisted Contouring for the Jawline, Double Chin, Lower Face and Neck
EndoliftX is a minimally invasive laser-assisted treatment that may be considered in selected patients when lower-face heaviness, reduced jawline definition, localised fat beneath the chin and mild to moderate tissue laxity contribute to the same concern.
At Efem Clinic, Endolift is not approached as a standard protocol for every jawline or double-chin concern. The first step is to understand what is actually contributing to the appearance: localised fat, skin and tissue laxity, deeper support, facial proportions, or a combination of these factors.
The aim is not to change the character of the face. In suitable patients, the goal is a clearer jawline, a more balanced lower face and neck transition, and a result that still looks naturally like the person.

QUICK ANSWER
What Is Endolift Used For?
Endolift may be considered when localised fat beneath the chin, lower-face heaviness, softening of the jawline and mild to moderate tissue laxity exist together in a suitable patient.
A very fine laser fibre is used beneath the skin to deliver controlled energy to selected tissue areas. Depending on the individual plan, treatment may focus on contour, selected small fat pockets and tissue-firmness support.
Endolift is not a surgical facelift and does not reproduce surgical repositioning in advanced sagging or substantial excess skin. Appropriate treatment selection depends on anatomy, fat distribution, tissue quality and realistic expectations.
Before Choosing Endolift, It Helps to Understand What Is Causing the Lower-Face Concern
A softer jawline or heavier-looking lower face does not always come from the same tissue problem. Similar appearances can have very different causes.
Localised Fat
When selected fat pockets beneath the chin or along the lower face contribute to heaviness, Endolift may have a meaningful role.
Tissue Laxity
Mild to moderate laxity may contribute to reduced jawline definition and can be considered as part of Endolift planning.
Deeper Structural Support
If the main concern sits deeper, Ultherapy Prime may be more relevant to the treatment discussion.
Skin Quality and Texture
If pores, scars, crepey texture or surface skin quality are the main concern, Morpheus8 may play a different role.
How Does Endolift Work?
Endolift is performed using a very fine laser fibre that is guided through selected subcutaneous tissue. Fibre placement and treatment areas are planned according to anatomy, fat distribution, tissue quality and the purpose of treatment.
The objective is not to apply the same amount of energy to every patient. Where the fibre is used, which tissue is being addressed and why that tissue needs treatment are central parts of the plan.
Supporting a clearer transition between the jawline, chin and neck.
Considering small localised fat areas when they contribute to the overall contour concern.
Supporting tissue response and collagen remodelling through controlled laser energy.
Planning the lower face and neck as connected anatomical areas rather than isolated treatment zones.
For a deeper explanation of the mechanism, see How Does Endolift Work?

Who May Be Suitable for Endolift?
Endolift May Be Considered When
- There is selected localised fat beneath the chin
- The jawline has become softer or less defined
- The lower face appears heavier
- Early jowling is present
- There is mild to moderate tissue laxity
- The chin-neck transition has lost definition
- The patient is looking for a minimally invasive alternative to surgery with realistic expectations
Another Approach May Be More Appropriate When
- There is advanced facial or neck sagging
- There is substantial excess skin
- Surface skin texture or acne scarring is the primary concern
- The expected result is similar to surgical facelift correction
- Expectations are not realistic for a minimally invasive procedure
- Medical assessment identifies a reason not to proceed

THE EFEM METHOD™
Endolift Planning Begins With Understanding the Problem, Not Choosing the Device
The Efem Method™ describes Dr Abdurrahman Efem’s clinical approach to treatment planning. Rather than starting with the procedure a patient requests, the assessment begins by asking which anatomical or tissue factors are actually creating the concern.
This is particularly important with Endolift. A softer jawline can appear similar from the outside, while the underlying reason may be localised fat in one patient, tissue laxity in another, reduced mid-face support in another, or facial and chin proportions that change how the lower face is perceived.
1. Understand the Need
The treatment request is considered alongside the anatomy and tissue problem that may be driving it.
2. Identify the Relevant Layer
Fat, skin, deeper support and volume-related concerns are separated before choosing the treatment approach.
3. Use Only What Adds Value
The aim is not to increase the number of procedures, but to identify the most measured plan that is likely to add meaningful benefit.
4. Preserve Natural Appearance
Treatment should support the person’s existing proportions and identity rather than create an obviously treated appearance.
Within The Efem Method™, the first question is not simply “Can Endolift be done?” but “Does Endolift actually match this patient’s underlying need?” If another technology appears more appropriate, the plan can change. Treatment may also be delayed or avoided when intervention is unlikely to add meaningful value.
PHYSICIAN TRAINING & ENDOLIFTX
Dr Abdurrahman Efem and EndoliftX Physician Training
Dr Abdurrahman Efem holds an EndoliftX trainer certificate. With fibre-based energy treatments such as Endolift, technical device use is only one part of the process. Anatomy, patient selection, tissue layers, treatment purpose and knowing when not to use the procedure are equally important.
Dr Efem is also involved in physician education and professional knowledge-sharing around Ultherapy Prime, Morpheus8 and other advanced energy-based aesthetic treatments. At Efem Clinic, this experience is reflected in treatment planning that begins with the tissue problem rather than the device name.
You can review training, certificates and professional development on the Education & Expertise page.
Endolift, Ultherapy Prime and Morpheus8: What Is the Difference?
These treatments are not interchangeable versions of the same procedure. They act differently and may be relevant to different tissue concerns.
| Treatment | Main Treatment Focus | When It May Be Relevant |
|---|---|---|
| EndoliftX | Selected localised fat, lower-face heaviness, jawline and double-chin contour, tissue-firmness support | When contour loss and selected fat pockets contribute to the same concern |
| Ultherapy Prime | Deeper tissue support and lifting-focused treatment planning | When deeper structural laxity is more relevant than localised fat |
| Morpheus8 | RF microneedling, skin quality, texture, pores, scars and firmness | When skin quality and surface or textural concerns are important |

Treatment Sensation, Recovery and Results
Treatment
Treatment areas are selected according to facial anatomy and the tissue being targeted. A very fine laser fibre is used within the planned area.
Sensation
Patients may feel pressure, warmth, pulling or brief stinging sensations. Comfort varies between individuals and treatment areas.
Recovery
Temporary swelling, tenderness, bruising, tightness or sensitivity may occur. Visible recovery varies from patient to patient.
Results
Contour and tissue response are assessed gradually as swelling settles and remodelling develops over time.
For practical recovery information, see Endolift recovery time, Endolift aftercare and Endolift side effects.
When Do Endolift Results Become Visible?
Endolift should not be judged as a final result immediately after treatment. Early swelling and tissue changes can affect the appearance, and a more useful assessment is made as recovery progresses.
Swelling, tenderness, bruising or tightness may be present.
As tissue settles, contour can be assessed more meaningfully.
Changes in jawline and lower-face contour may become more noticeable in suitable patients.
Tissue response and collagen remodelling may continue to develop according to the individual.

How Many Sessions Are Needed? Can Endolift Be Combined With Other Treatments?
There is no single protocol that applies to every Endolift patient. Treatment planning depends on the amount and distribution of fat, degree of laxity, treatment area, age, tissue quality and the level of change being sought.
For some patients, Endolift may be sufficient as a stand-alone treatment. In others, Ultherapy Prime may be more relevant for deeper support, while Morpheus8 may be considered when skin quality is a separate concern.
Combination treatment should have a clear reason. The purpose is not to use more devices, but to address different problems only when those problems genuinely exist.
How Is the Cost of Endolift in Istanbul Determined?
A single standard Endolift price does not accurately represent every patient because the scope of treatment differs.
- The area being treated
- Amount and distribution of localised fat
- Degree of tissue laxity
- One treatment area versus several areas
- Treatment scope and intensity
- Whether another treatment has a meaningful role
- Doctor assessment and individual anatomy
It is generally more useful to understand what actually needs treatment before discussing cost as though every Endolift case were identical.

Planning Endolift in Istanbul From Abroad
Efem Clinic is located in Levent, Istanbul and regularly communicates with patients travelling from abroad for medical aesthetic treatment.
Before travelling, clear front, side and angled photographs of the lower face, jawline and neck can help the clinic understand the main concern and provide preliminary guidance about whether Endolift appears relevant to the discussion.
Photographs do not replace medical assessment. Treatment suitability, timing and any travel or stay planning should be confirmed individually before booking a trip around a procedure.
The clinic approach is designed around privacy, clear communication and individual planning rather than standard treatment packages.
PATIENT PRIVACY
Why We Do Not Routinely Publish Before-and-After Patient Photographs
Patient privacy is important to Efem Clinic. For that reason, we do not routinely use patient before-and-after photographs as a marketing tool.
Every patient has different anatomy, skin quality, fat distribution, healing patterns and treatment response. Lighting, camera angle, posture, facial expression, distance and timing can also materially influence how before-and-after images are perceived.
We therefore prefer to discuss realistic expectations through the individual patient’s anatomy and medical assessment rather than through another person’s selected result photographs.

DR ABDURRAHMAN EFEM
Doctor-Led Endolift Planning
In Dr Efem’s approach, Endolift is not considered simply as a “jawline treatment”. The lower face, double chin, fat distribution, skin quality, chin structure, deeper support and overall facial balance are considered together.
This means two patients with a similar visible concern may receive different recommendations. Endolift may be relevant for one patient, while Ultherapy Prime, Morpheus8, injectable treatment, observation or no immediate intervention may make more sense for another.
The objective is not to maximise treatment, but to create a plan that is proportionate to the actual need and respectful of natural facial character.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions About Endolift
What is Endolift?
Endolift is a minimally invasive medical aesthetic treatment that uses a fine laser fibre within selected subcutaneous tissue. It may be considered for suitable lower-face, jawline, double-chin and neck contouring concerns.
Can Endolift help a double chin?
It may have a role when selected localised fat contributes to the double-chin appearance. However, not every double chin is caused by fat; chin structure, skin laxity and neck anatomy may also be important.
Can Endolift improve jawline definition?
If selected localised fat, lower-face heaviness and mild to moderate tissue laxity contribute to a softer jawline, Endolift may be considered to support clearer contour.
Is Endolift painful?
Endolift should not be described as completely sensation-free. Pressure, warmth, pulling or brief stinging sensations may be felt. Comfort varies according to the patient and treatment area.
How much downtime is there after Endolift?
Temporary swelling, tenderness, bruising, tightness or sensitivity may occur. Visible recovery varies, so treatment timing should be discussed if you have an important event or travel schedule.
How many Endolift sessions are needed?
There is no fixed session number for every patient. Many suitable patients may be assessed with a single-session approach, while any further treatment should depend on tissue response and follow-up.
Endolift or Ultherapy Prime: which is more suitable?
They may address different problems. Endolift may be more relevant when localised fat and contour are important, while Ultherapy Prime may be considered when deeper tissue support is the main concern. Selection should be anatomy-led.
Can Endolift and Morpheus8 be combined?
They may be combined in selected patients when there are genuinely different treatment needs. Endolift may address contour and selected fat pockets, while Morpheus8 may have a separate role for skin quality and RF microneedling goals.
Can Endolift replace facelift surgery?
Not when there is advanced sagging or substantial excess skin. Endolift does not provide the same degree of tissue repositioning as surgical facelift procedures.
Is Dr Abdurrahman Efem an Endolift trainer?
Dr Abdurrahman Efem holds an EndoliftX trainer certificate. Training and professional-development documentation can be reviewed on the clinic’s Education & Expertise page.
What does The Efem Method™ mean for Endolift planning?
The Efem Method™ places assessment before the procedure request. Endolift is considered when its role in contour, selected fat or tissue support genuinely matches the patient’s underlying need. If another approach or less intervention makes more sense, the plan can change.
Why don't you routinely publish before-and-after patient photographs?
Patient privacy is important to us. Results also vary between individuals, while lighting, angle, expression, posture and timing can influence how before-and-after photographs are perceived. We prefer to discuss expectations through individual medical assessment.
